4TH of July Party

For the 4th of July, we went over to the Fry's for a party. Here are a few pictures of Ellie and Gavin.

Ellie got to see her good friend Remy a couple of weeks ago when they were in town. The kids always have a great time together, and play really well together. Here is a picture of the two of them playing Follow the Leader. Katy was the Leader.

Parker Days

Every summer Parker puts on a festival that used to be called Parker Days. Now they refer to it as the Parker Country Festival. I still haven't figured out which part of it is country. Anyhow, there are games, rides, carni food, vendors, music, a parade, etc. This year, Ellie and Gavin had a great time riding the rides and sampling the carni food. However, by naptime, they were done, and so were the parents. Here are a few pictures of the kids at Parker Days.

I am still making baby hats for all of my friends and family members that are having babies. This has been something that I really enjoy, and it has become pretty mindless. So, here is a picture of Miss S in her brand new hat.

Ellie and Baby D

Ellie loves babies! Our friends have a new baby, D, and Ellie is completely infatuated with her. She loves to be close to her, touch her, and was super excited when she got to hold her!

Hopefully this is a good sign, as Ellie will be a GREAT Big Sister!

Ellie's buddy Remy was in Colorado a couple of weeks ago. Ellie adores Remy, and for a couple of days after he left, he was all she could talk about. Here are a few pictures of Ellie and Remy playing.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, our neighborhood had an Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids. Ellie and her buddy Gavin braved the snow, had a great time, and found PLENTY of eggs. Not nearly as many kids turned up this year, as in year's past due to the weather. Tom and I think that this is paybacks for having such an awesome Halloween last fall.

Gavin's Big Day!

Over the weekend, Ellie went to her best bud's 2nd Birthday Party. She had a great time playing with all the kids. Now, if we could keep her from opening other people's presents - we would be good to go. Here are a few pictures from the Birthday party.

Hat #2

Apparently, I have way too much time on my hands. After I made a hat for baby D, I decided that I was going to make a few more hats for all the upcoming babies. I also wanted to make a hat for Ellie's friend Rocki for her birthday. So I took the pattern that I used for Baby D's hat, and made it larger. Now, if you remember from an earlier post, Rocki has beautiful thick curly red hair. Rocki's Mom was complaining that you can't get a hat to fit her right when she is wearing ponytails. So I solved that issue, and made a hole in the back that will allow for a pony tail to fit through. Here is Ellie modeling Rocki's new hat.

The two of them are so cute together - they are starting to talk to each other (more like ordering each other around) which is just amazing to me...

Baby D

Some friends of ours recently had a baby. She is absolutly adorable.
It is hard to adjust seeing such a little one again.

I made Baby D a hat as part of the shower gift - so I thought I would post a few pics of Baby D modeling her new hat...

Ellie & Gavin

This is an old photo I found of Ellie and her buddy Gavin, whom she absolutely adores. Gavin's parents post videos of him on Youtube so that the family can see what he is learning, what he is up to, and just how cute he really is. So every night when we get home from school, Ellie has to have a pack of Nemo Snacks (I totally should have bought stock in Nemo Snacks) and we have to watch "Gavin Bideos". She has seen the videos so many times, that she requests certain ones over and over and over again.

Anyhow, the picture is from this past summer, when the kids were much shorter. It was a huge accomplishment for them to be able to climb up in the chair - so once they got up there, they stayed for awhile. Until they realized that the bottom of the chair was like a slide - then it was up, down, up, down, up, down... over and over again....

Because I like making myself crazy this time of year...

This year for Christmas, I decided I was going to make some of gifts. Probably because my To Do list had gotten down to a single page, and I thought I could handle it. So I have been in the process of making things since November. I can now show the fruits of my labor - as we have already given this gift - and I am not worried about ruining the surprise anymore. Tom and I thought it came out really well -

Mischievous...

Ellie and her buddy Rocki met up for a little mischievous fun at my company Christmas party. It was fun to watch 2 little girls running around and chasing each other. They spent most of the evening under the pool table kicking the floor and laughing at each other. It was super cute.

Ellie & Marisol

When I was growing up I had 2 best friends, Jenn and Danielle. We all lived in the same neighborhood, and we played together all the time. Now, we are all grown up, still friends, and all have daughters. Ellie is 2, Marisol just turned 1 and Taylor is a little over 6 months. We have yet to find a time when all three of us can get together with the kids... but someday - I know it will happen. So a month ago at E's 2nd birthday, my friend Danielle and her daughter Marisol came to the party. I like the fact that we have been friends for over 25 years, and now, here we are with our little girls.... who will be friends....

I am hoping that someday soon that we can get all (3) girls together for a picture.

Gymnastics

Ellie and her buddy Gavin are in a gymnastics class on Saturday mornings. It is a total blast, and the kids love it. It is alot of work for the parents as well - as they have to chase their kids all around the obstacle course and help them on each obstacle. Here are some pictures from E & Gavin's first class.
