We thought we would give the big girl panties (if you can really call cotton granny panties with Elmo on them "Big Girl Panties") a try over the weekend. Ellie has been doing incredibly well with going to the bathroom several times a day on the potty.
The reign of big girl panties ended shortly before noon when all 3 pairs were wet.
Maybe next time.
In case you were wondering, Yes, it is mandatory to wear pink crocs with no pants when trying out Big Girl Panties.
That is great! However, I highly suggest you consider moving forward with the big girl panties- if not she may lose interest and just be fine in diapers. Not to make parenting suggestions, but I do have a couple of thoughts with things that really helped Audrey and us navigate PTing. I felt like PTing took a great level of commitment and willingness to deal with wet pants in Target. :) The thicker BGPs (Gerber and Imse Vimse Training Pants are 2 brands we used. They are nice b/c they are thicker and catch more pee, which means a smaller puddle to clean up) Also, I read the book "Potty Train Your Child in Just One Day"- with most parenting advice books, I took parts of it and used them, but not everything the author suggested. It just gave good ideas, like the All Day PTing Party. Anyways, GOOD LUCK navigating the adventure that PTing is!! I think it has been the most challenging thing so far with a lot of questioning if we were doing things right or at the right time, etc... That's really great that she's getting the hang of it!
