We had a fun filled weekend! It was so nice to be off from work for 4 days. Friday night we took Ellie to the mall so we could get out of the house. She really wanted to see Santa. So we talked him up, and it appeared that she was really excited to see him. When it came time to actually sitting on his lap, she clung to me like a howler monkey - and wouldn't let go.
This is the closeup. Could she look any more miserable? The other picture we got had her picking her nose. We opted not to post that one here.
On Sunday, we weren't expecting to get as much snow as we did. It was really quite nice. So Ellie went out to play in the snow for about an hour. Luckily, I bought Ellie a coat and snowpants last year that had an internal seam in them that you could rip out, and the sleeves and legs were extended by about 2". So the snow outfit from last year still fits. For all of you parents out there - I got this at Lands End. It may be a bit more expensive then buying new stuff at Target, but when you factor in buying new stuff two years in a row, this is a much better deal - plus they last. I have washed the coat and pants a couple of times and not had issues.
